Isaac McNeil is still feeling like he made the right choice by committing to Auburn a month ago.

McNeil is a 2027 four-star linebacker out of Vigor High School in Alabama, and he holds college football offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU and others.

His commitment decision came down to feeling like Auburn was the right place for him.

"It was the coaching staff and just always liking Auburn," McNeil told Touchdown Auburn. "I would say I always knew I wanted to go to Auburn."

Auburn's defensive coordinator D. J. Durkin led the way in Auburn's push for McNeil. The four-star said he has the 'closest relationship' with his future DC. McNeil now has his mind set on making sure he continues to improve and make it to Auburn as a player ready to leave his mark On The Plains.

"Auburn should expect a player who will give it their all," McNeil said. "My family motivates me to get better each day

At 6-foot-2 and approximately 210 pounds, Auburn likes McNeil as an inside linebacker. He made plays as an inside linebacker and while rushing from the edge during the 2025 football season. His ability to make tackles in space and close on the football with great speed jumps out on film.

The Vigor High School senior is looking to continue to make strides as a linebacker this fall.

"I’m trying to improve on everything," McNeil said.
