Alex Golesh is hoping the Auburn Tigers bounce back this week against Vanderbilt after losing to Florida last Saturday.
Golesh opened this week saying he had to have some tough conversations with his coaches and players.
"Obviously, had tough conversations yesterday as a staff," Golesh said on Monday. "Had tough conversations this morning with our kids. Coached the living crap out of it, turned the page, moved on. We get to host Vandy at home Saturday here, back in Jordan-Hare. Which I think we're all excited to go get going and get that taste out of our mouth.
The Auburn head football coach was asked how his team had responded this week during the SEC Coaches Teleconference.
"I thought it was slow, honestly, Monday into Tuesday, our guys, you could still sense that there's frustration and disappointment, and, again, it's on us as coaches, to snap out of it," Golesh said. "We gotta push these guys past that point, and you're happy that they're not happy with it, but there is a sense of, you gotta move on. It a long season. You gotta go, and I thought much better response today, and more than anything, just a sense of urgency. And felt like I saw that today in practice."
Auburn is hopeful that this sense of urgency will lead to success against the Commodores on Saturday.
