Auburn football’s defensive lineman Cody Sigler is looking to show he is more than just what some may call a high effort player this fall.
Sigler is set to enter his first season with the Tigers after previously playing at West Alabama and Arkansas State. The Alabama native has his eyes on dominating every rep ahead of his debut as a Tiger.
"Just dominate every game," Sigler told reporters. "You can sit there and say, All SEC, but if I bring to the table what I can every game, I feel like I can get any accolade I want. So just trying to dominate every game, every rep."
At 6-foot-2 and 308 pounds, Sigler wants to show he is capable of dominating by making plays at different spots along the Tigers’ defensive front.
“Twitchy, violent, and then just dominant,” Sigler said when asked which particular skills he wants to put on display. “You know, being able to rush from anywhere on the field, being able to play any position on the field. That's what I want people to know. That's what I want scouts to know."
Alex Golesh has previously gone on record and said he is hoping Sigler has a great year.
"He has so much value because he can do so many different things," Golesh said. "He is a better pass rusher than I probably gave him credit for. He can play inside. He can play outside. You talk about a kid who the place means something to, and that's how he practices; that's how he works. Really cool story, really cool journey. There ain't nobody I am rooting for more than him to go have an incredible year for a kid who played D2 in the state, then moved. This is a dream for him.
