Auburn football's defensive coordinator DJ Durkin discussed the strengths of the Florida offense on Monday.
The Gators' offense is averaging 569 yard per game. 321 of those yards come through the air and another 247.5 come on the ground.
Durkin gave his thoughts on the Gator's offense to kick off the week.
“They've got some incredible talent offensively," Durkin said. "They have playmakers all over the board. Start with their running back, I mean, he's really good. Balanced, body control, great feeding, explosive and tough to tackle. Their guys out on the perimeter, they do a really good job of getting them the ball in space, and creating one-on-one tackles. They've been able to win those one-on-ones a lot of the time and create explosive plays. I think their coaching staff does a great job of distributing the ball and getting it into the hands of those guys and creating ways to do it and with a lot of shifts and window dressings, so they present a lot of issues.”
Florida's leading rusher is Jadan Baugh, who is averaging 10 yards per carry.
The Gators starting quarterback Aaron Philo has thrown five touchdowns on the season. Vernell Brown and Dallas Wilson have been his two top targets and the Gators most productive wideouts. Wilson has pulled in nine receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns, and Wilson has snagged eight catches for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Auburn and Florida will kick off at 6 p.m. on ESPN on Saturday.
