A pair of Auburn football players were named to The Athletics 2026 college football freaks list.
Byrum Brown and Da’Shawn Wommack made this year’s list. Wommack came in at No. 26 and Brown was ranked No. 48.
Wommack is expected to start at defensive end for the Tigers. He transferred from Ole Miss to Auburn after the 2025 football season. He has posted 48 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks during his collegiate career so far.
The Athletic reports Wommack clocked in at 21.6 mph and can squat 565 pounds and bench press 350 pounds.
Brown is set to be the Tigers' starting quarterback this fall after transferring from USF to Auburn. He is coming off a season, where he had 3,158 passing yards, 1,008 rushing yards and 42 total touchdowns.
The quarterback has improved his bench press to 315 pounds, and he can still squat 600 pounds, according to The Athletic.
