Auburn and Georgia are involved in a tight one at halftime in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. The Tigers are out in front 17-14 over the No. 1 team in the country.
Here is what Auburn needs to do in the second half:
Keep Running Backs Involved
Auburn football's running backs were heavily involved in the first half. This is something the Tigers have talked about for a long time now, and Auburn is finally showing a commitment to doing so. Jeremiah Cobb is benefitting from this. and averaging around five yards a carry. Being able to control the clock by running the football could be huge for Auburn in the second half.
Keep Byrum Brown In Rhythm
Byrum Brown is in some of the best rhythm he has been in this season at the quarterback position. He is getting it done on both the ground and through the air. It is safe to say the quarterback is looking as good as the Auburn faithful hoped he would be.
Protect The Football
Auburn protected the football, and the Tigers won the first-half turnover battle against the Bulldogs. This will likely be critical in the second half if the Tigers want to pull off the upset.
