Auburn football's head coach Alex Golesh feels there is a lot the Auburn Tigers have to clean up after a massive upset over then No. 1 Georgia.
Golesh said the Tigers turned the page to LSU with an emphasis on getting better in multiple areas, but no area is more important to Golesh than the one he highlighted on Monday during his press conference.
"Man, there's a ton, a ton, a ton to clean up," Golesh said. "And when I say like a ton to clean up, none bigger than the penalties. We had 11, 3 pre-snap offensively. We had the penalty on special teams on punt, and then we had a handful defensively that cost you in tight, tight games. And obviously we found a way to overcome it. I thought fundamentally, the piece that we continue to hammer home, and we've talked a lot about good football teams get better as you go."
Golesh likes the way his team has responded to the big win ahead of LSU.
The Auburn head coach told reporters he made it clear to his team they have a long way to go in terms of getting better.
"That was the entire team meeting this morning was, man, give you your flowers on the win," said Golesh. "Man, we got a long, long way to go."
The Tigers will take on LSU on Saturday at home. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT.
