Auburn is looking to put another win in the win column with Arkansas set to travel to Auburn this weekend.
The Razorbacks will enter Jordan-Hare Stadium 3-5 on the season and 1-4 in SEC play under first-year head coach Ryan Silverfield.
Golesh feels Auburn will once again be tested on both sides of the football on Saturday.
The Tigers' head coach thinks Auburn's defense will have to find a way to be tough against the run while taking on Arkansas.
“Turning the page to Arkansas, (we're) excited to be back home, excited to play at Jordan-Hare," Golesh said. "This is a big one for us because it's the next one and you're playing a football team that, in a lot of ways, is trying to, in year one, find their true identity, as is anybody in this conference. We have to go play our best football on Saturday, and we have to go find a way. Offensively, this is a team that's built on running the football, built on a play-action pass off of it. (They have) a mobile quarterback that's done some really good things and have a running back core that as this has gone on has run it better and better. The offensive line, a veteran group, has gotten better every single week. The quarterback has gotten better every single week, and they have enough playmakers between the tight end spots and the wideouts, based on availability, to be able to go and make plays. We have to play really, really sound. We have to stop the run. We have to affect the quarterback, and we've have to play good pass defense."
Golesh feels Auburn's offense will have to find a way to make more explosive plays against the Razorbacks.
“On the other side of the ball, a defense that there's a lot of familiarity with, certainly the coordinator, who we faced a year ago," Golesh told reporters. "They do so many different things and they pressure so much, we have to be able to go handle the pressure, and we have to go, I bet I sound like a broken record here, but we have to establish the run game and we have to get the quarterback settled and be able to go and not live in third-and-longs, which you saw on Saturday. It worked for a little bit and then it doesn't work. It's a terrible place to live. We have to be efficient on first and second down. We have to be more explosive offensively, and we’re working hard to do that."
Auburn and Arkansas will get after it on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
